INOUE MIYAKO
ENGLISH NAME: AGE/GRADE: SCHOOL:
Kyo Yolei Inoue 12/6th grade Odaiba Elementary
DESCRIPTION:
Miyako has her first Digimon encounter in March of 2000. She is one of the many children around the world who watched the battle between Diablomon and Omegamon on their computers. Little did she know that she would later have her own Digimon.
Smart and hyper, Miyako loves computers and other mechanical gadgets. She's always tinkering with stuff, including the D-Terminal, to which she added features like the ability to check which areas were controlled by the Kaizer and which were free. She's the president of her school's computer club, a position she filled after her friend Koushirou graduated. She's still close friends with Koushirou, and the two of them have worked on sound editing and mixing for Yamato's band.

If there's one word that describes Miyako, it's airheaded. She's always chasing after boys, from Ken to Michael. When she first meets Ken, before she knows he's the Digimon Kaizer, she has a total crush on him. That all changes when she finds out the truth...then she gets all starry eyed over Mimi's American friend Michael. But eventually after Miyako learns more about Ken and realizes that he's truly sorry for what he did in the past, her feelings for him are renewed.

She totally idolizes Mimi, and wishes they were sisters. But her real wish is to be an only child just for a little while. With three older siblings, she has never really had much time to herself. Perhaps because she was the youngest, she's a bit spoiled, which shows a lot during her first visits to the Digital World. She tends to panic a lot, which causes Hawkmon to get injured in once instance, but after a fighting a bit she toughens up, and the Miyako at the end of the season is hardly the same one we met in episode one.

Because the new Chosen Children have never really been faced with a life or death situation like the kids in season one were, Miyako and Iori have strong feelings about killing Digimon. Miyako wants nothing to do with killing anyone, even the most evil of Digimon, like Lady Devimon. But she finally does learn that some things need to be done, whether you like it or not, and she accepts the fact that some Digimon just cannot be redeemed.

Miyako's feelings for Ken only grew stronger over the years, and eventually they got married. She is content with being a housewife and raising their three children, two sons and a daughter.

DIGIMON:
Miyako's Digimon is Hawkmon. With the Digimental of Love, Hawkmon evolves to Holsemon and with Sincerity he evolves to Shurimon. His Champion form is Aquilamon and when he jogress evolves with Hikari's Tailmon, he can reach his Ultimate form, Silphymon. In the real world he always stays in his In Training form, Poromon and after using up a lot of energy, such as after a jogress, he returns to his Fresh form, Pururumon.
Hawkmon is like a knight defending a princess. He is kind and courteous towards Miyako, but always very formal, just what you'd expect from a knight. His serious attitude is at odds with Miyako's flightyness, but they complement each other well.

ICHIJOUJI KEN
ENGLISH NAME: AGE/GRADE: SCHOOL:
Ken Ichijouji Age 11/5th grade Tamachi Elementary
DESCRIPTION:
Through flashbacks we see glimpses of Ken's past. When he was little, he and his brother Osamu found a Digivice. Osamu assumed it was his, but in reality it belonged to Ken. In August of 2001, Ken and a friend, Ryou, had an adventure in the Digital World that resulted in the defeat of Millenniumon, and unbenownst to Ken, his being infected with the Dark Seed. Sometime after his first adventure, Ken, depressed about Osamu's death, received an anonymous email and once again journeyed to another world, this time it was the Dark Ocean. There he dipped his Digivice in the water and it morphed into a black D-3.
When next we see Ken, it is as the Digimon Kaizer. No longer the quiet, gentle boy he used to be, he is now a cold, calculating monster who sees everyone else as insects. According to his parents it was when he reached the same as age Osamu at the time of his death, he suddenly began to do better in school and become more athletic. Not so coincidentaly, in his guise as the Kaizer, Ken looks a lot like Osamu. This was the work of the Dark Seed, fulfilling his desire to be more like his brother.

As the Kaizer, it is Ken's wish to take over the Digital World. He cares nothing for any Digimon, not even his own once beloved partner Wormmon. The loyal Wormmon follows Ken's orders, unsure of else he should do. When his madness finally drives him to create Chimeramon, the Chosen Children make their final stand against him. Wormmon, realizing that there's no way to help Ken other than to help destroy the Kaizer, leads Daisuke and V-mon to the Digimenal of Miracles and lends the last of his strength to Magnamon, allowing him to destroy Chimeramon. When Wormmon dies in his arms, Ken starts to come to himself. With the help of the others, he finally realizes that the Digital World is not a game, and that the Digimon are living creatures. His Kaizer outfit disappears and he returns home.

After sleeping for days, Ken awakes and returns to the Digital World, to the Village of Beginnings. There Botamon, Poyomon, and Punimon berate him for his behavior as the Kaizer. Finally he finds Wormmon's egg and Leafmon hatches out. He returns home, finally realizing that his family loves him. He greets his parents crying, calling them Mama and Papa.

Once he is no longer the Kaizer, he has to work hard to earn the trust of the other children, but eventually they all follow Daisuke's lead and accept him as one of their own. The last to hold out is Iori, but even he gives in eventually. Ken's kindness wins them over, one would expect nothing less from the bearer of the Crest of Kindness. Unfotunately other than helping to stop the explosion of his former fortress, the Crest does not play a very big role in the series.

Towards the end of 02, the Dark Seed implanted in Ken by Millenniumon plays a large part. Oikawa, the man who turned Ken into the Kaizer, uses a scanner to extract the data from Ken and implant it into other children. The Dark Seed is now useless in Ken because he learned to accept the love of his family and friends.

As an adult, Ken marries Miyako and they have three children: a daughter and two sons. He becomes a detective, fighting evil with Stingmon at his side.

DIGIMON:
Ken's partner is Wormmon. His meek, quiet manner and gentle attitude prove wrong those who say that all Virus Digimon are evil. Once Ken realizes the error of his ways and repents from his acts as the Digimon Kaizer, Wormmon is able to evolve to his Champion form, Stingmon. With Daisuke's XV-mon, Stingmon is able to jogress evolve to Paildramon. His Mega is Imperial Dramon, one of the most powerful Digimon ever. Imperial Dramon also has two other forms, Fighter Mode and Paladin Mode (a fusion with Omegamon). Unlike the other 02 partner Digimon, Wormmon doesn't always revert to his In Training form in the real world, but he did appear as Minomon after he was reborn and before he evolved again into Wormmon. His Fresh form is Leafmon, arguably one of the cutest Digimon ever.
Wormmon's loyalty to his partner knows no bounds. He stuck by Ken's side despite the abuse he was subjected to and his objections to the atrocities committed by the Kaizer. It was only when he saw that there was no other hope for Ken but to betray him that he led V-mon to the Digimental of Miracles and then lent the last of his strength to Magnamon so that he could destroy Chimeramon.

MOTOMIYA DAISUKE
ENGLISH NAME: AGE/GRADE: SCHOOL:
Davis Motomiya Age 11/5th grade Odaiba Elementary
DESCRIPTION:
Daisuke's first experience with Digimon was in the year 1999, he was one of the children brought before Vamdemon during his reign of terror over the city of Odaiba. Like everyone else, the experience sort of faded from his memory until he met Michael and he and the others remembered their first introductions to Digimon.
During the first half or so of 02, perhaps Daisuke's most defining trait is his intense jealousy towards anyone he sees as a rival for Hikari's affections, not the least of whom is Takeru. When Takeru transfers into their class at the beginning of the school year, Daisuke immediately starts acting like a jerk when it becomes apparent that Takeru and Hikari know each other. He even pushes V-mon to evolve to Champion so that he can show off in front of Hikari. This obsession seems to fade by the end of the series, so much so that when confronted with Belial Vamdemon's tricks, Daisuke is able to say that he has no desires in this world.

Aside from his initial dislike of Takeru, Daisuke is a very outgoing, friendly sort, and he is the first to accept Ken as one of their own. Early on he claims not to know what friendship is, but his later actions prove that he is truly the one worthy of the Digimental of Friendship.

Although he often rushes into things and makes mistakes, his courage in the face of outstanding odds cannot be denied. No matter how dire the situation, he always believed that they would somehow make it through. There is certainly no one more suited to the Digimental of Courage than Daisuke.

Daisuke's moment to shine was in the final battle with Belial Vamdemon. While the other children were caught in their dreamworlds, unable to let go of their desires, Daisuke remained untouched. Instead he went to each of his freinds and helped bring them back to reality. Even then they were not sure whether they could win or not, and were too afraid to try. But Daisuke, ever optimistic, encouraged them to give it a shot. Then their Digimon miraculously evolved over and over again and began attacking Belial Vamdemon. Without Daisuke, the Chosen Children surely would have died then.

When the Dark Seed children needed encouragement, he shared with them his dream, to become the owner of a ramen restaurant. When he grew up he fulfilled this dream, starting out small with a pull cart in America, and eventually becoming the owner of a worldwide chain of restaurants. His entrepreneurship earned him a place on magazine covers around the globe. He has one son.

DIGIMON:
Daisuke's partner is V-mon. In the real world, he's always in his In Training form, Chibimon and after using up all his energy with a jogress evolution, he always devolves back into his Fresh stage, Chicomon. With the Digimentals of Friendship and Courage he can evolve to Raidramon and Flamedramon, respectively. He can also evolve to Magnamon with the Digimental of Miracles. His Champion is XV-mon, and when he jogress evolves with Ken's Stingmon, he can evolve to Paildramon. His Mega is Imperial Dramon, one of the most powerful Digimon ever. Imperial Dramon also has two other forms, Fighter Mode and Paladin Mode (a fusion with Omegamon).
V-mon is a lot like his partner in many ways. Like Daisuke he often leaps into action before thinking things out, and often makes mistakes, but he tries his best and in the end that usually pays off. But his cheery playful attitude helps keep everyone's spirits up. V-mon has a crush on Tailmon, Hikari's partner Digimon.
